intotheglossRemember Daphne? LOL of course you do. And if you didn't, just know that the Dutch model is the face of Tom Ford's summer beauty campaign because really, that's what is important here. Charlotte Tilbury did the makeup for the ads—it's glossy and bronzed-out the wazoo. We're happy to see the model and the designer reunited for old time's sake, but also hopefully for the future. Daphne could do a lifetime's worth of Tom Ford ads and it'd never be enough.
Anyway, Daphne is glamour-city in real life, but here we opted for a slightly toned down version, still created with the 2015 Soleil Collection (when recreating any Tom Ford image, is there any other way?). Lipstick first was a must—those lips! Paradiso is slightly metallic but sheer, don't worry. It's also that peachy-pink that demands a tan and a rosy cheek, so Daphne moved on to the Cream Cheek Color in Pink Sand and the Bronzing Powder in Gold Dust and mixed the two up on her cheeks for a bit of a standby summer-look concoction.
The real stars of the show though, are the Cream and Powder Eye Color towers. Very Korean in packaging, it seems, the top pan opens up to a powder color while the bottom screws off, revealing a pot full of cream shadow. Using Naked Bronze, she covered the lid in the gold powder up to the crease and dapped the pinkier cream around at will—a little in the center, a little near the inner cover, a little near the brow bone. To finish everything off, smear a few pumps of the über-luxurious Shimmering Body Oil on lids, shoulders, hair, what have you, and march out onto your patio to reflect as much light as possible.
she gets more beautiful with age.
