I actually love her i-D cover and can't wait to see the editorial.

I love both Daphne and Lindsey but it seems that we don't see much of more mature models.

3 covers in one month, all 3 ugly. ID has the best make up on her though: none.

I don't really like either Vogue cover, I just don't like the 'rich b*tch'-style of Russia and think the hair and make-up of Korea don't suit Daphne (although I love the fish ).
But I love the i-D cover, I do think Daphne looks really beautiful. I like how it's so fresh and natural and springy ^_^

I don't care what age she is...what is insulting to me is that we're living in a day and age where this sloppy featured pre-teen is getting more work than most truly and inherently beautiful women working in the modeling industry today.

The fact that Lindsay Wixon and Daphne Groeneveld, two clumsy and immature girls, are some of the most sought after models today makes me infuriated. What ever happened to the days of Daria Werbowy, Elise Crombez, Natalia Vodianova, Hilary Rhoda, et al. Clearly we've downgraded big time.

It will change. It will always change.

Really? And Saskia, Aymeline, Valerija, Kati and co are doing figuration maybe? I rather think it's the younger models that we don't see that much nowadays and both Daph and Wixson are exceptions... for a good reason: despite of their age, they stand out. I've never been Daphne's biggest fan, sometimes I do love what she does and some other stories/covers just leave me as cold as an icecube freshly released from the freezer. The i-D cover is nice and her story from Vogue Russia is highly interesting on many sides.

This being said, I love that backstage pic Dior_Couture posted. Goodbye heartaches (or headaches, when I read some comments here) and good vibrations all the way.

Yes, many painful, worrying reads in this thread. I'm in love with the i-D cover, it's sassy, exaggerated and I like the ingenuous vibe she sometimes emits. It would be fun if she books a sweet campaign.

Daphne was at the Dutch Vogue Party.
A much better look on her then any of the latest covers.

^pretty, hopefully she'll be on one of their covers soon:DI love the i-D cover, its so quirky cute:heart:. I love the first shot of the editorial in that Balenciaga dress, the scenery is hauntingly amazing, not that crazy about the rest but mainly cause I dont like the styling. Anxious to see her Vogue Korea edit.

Maybe I should have been more specific. Saskia, Aymeline and Kati may be older but they're still relatively new models. I'm talking about models who have been around for a long time and deserve a lot more buzz than they're getting.

And, mods, feel free to delete this post since you may think it's off topic.

I don't think we are getting off-topic as we are discussing points clearly related to Daphne's career in the most civilized and elaborated manner (which is not always the case lately on TFS, so they should be glad to see contributors bringing the discussion to a deeper level without the shadow of an immature riot around ^_^ )

I agree on Kati's case but to me Saskia is already established somehow while Aymeline is there for much longer (though her rise in high fashion is more recent). And I should have added Arizona Muse to my list. We can also count long-lasting careers like Anja Rubik's, Lara's or even Doutzen who has juicy contracts and now a new cover for Vogue Paris. Also Bette Franke made a beautiful comeback as a woman and so did Querelle a little earlier (and her career's pace isn't getting slower by any means). There are more examples but I'm not going to do more name dropping.

It is true we've seen a lot of brand -and often bland- new faces getting a big, fast hype but most of them faded away even faster than they arrived. When you compare the 14-17yo ladies who started around the same time as Aymeline or Saskia or Kati, the winners are obvious.

The I-D editorial is beyond amazing, i used to like Daphne in her beginnings than i hated her, and now i'm liking her all over again.

That's an incredible editorial.

I agree the i-D editorial is BEYOND! So so good, and she's wearing those margiela boots that I'm obsessed with ^_^

I can't say I disagree with you. Aymeline, Saskia and Kati are incredibly gorgeous and deserve all the buzz they're getting.

I must say that I was nervous to see this editorial, but I quite like it. :D
