Daphne Guinness

As much a part of me is excited about her auctioning off her clothing to set up that IB foundation, another part of me is like "you have the money to not only to buy your own haute couture, but IB's entire collection as well: that means you have enough to set up the foundation without auctioning off your clothes." So I'm hoping we'll get more details on what Daphne plans to contribute, financially and otherwise.

And until then, I'm avoiding buying the auction catalogue.

Latest outfit: love the top half. Bottom half makes her look like a clown.

Even as one who usually loves her looks, that is a little too Bride of Frankenstein for me... :(

I don't think this has been posted yet but here's a trailer for one of the short films Daphne did last year.

SHAKKI, a short film by Julien Landais

A ton of thanks to everyone who's posted. I haven't been able to be online for a while and it was so nice to be able to see all this new stuff in one place. I love the gold ensemble at The Ivy. The new showstudio video is really fascinating too. I can't believe it's her singing! wow! :flower:

Here's a few videos I stumbled upon whilst browsing youtube.

I like how she can do such a strong raspy voice. ^_^

She is trained as an opera singer so no surprise that her tuning and projection is so good. And her singing voice has real power which is a surprise as her speaking voice is often quiet. Where were these videos taken I wonder?

minstinguett, I'm sorry I guess I didn't explain what I meant very well. What I was trying to say was that I'm amazed that she'd sing live to an audience since I'd gotten the feeling that her singing was very personal to her. So it was suprising to me that she'd put her talent on show like that, what with how she seems like a very private person on top of all that. I also looked up info on the event for you, it looks like the band that was performing, Element 4, asked her to join them on stage so she agreed. :flower:
