Daphne Guinness

We were not that harsh. I doubt she's speaking about us.

On another note the Nars photo is stunning.

...)

It appears I forgot to end my parenthesis earlier.

I'm almost tempted to post a response on her blog though... (Do you think she reads the comments?)

^ She doesn't allow comments (I already checked). They've been disabled.

And I have a pretty good hunch that she is referring to us :innocent:.

and what? i'm not going to be intimidated by anyone... hello? freedom of speech rings a bell out there...

^ My guess is a lot of tFSers would be shocked by how many models and celelbs read what we write here.. B)

wao!!! & fair enough.
at the end of the day they are just people like us, everybody has a story to tell...

There's a comment button...up by the title of the post. But in case you're right about her friend reading us.

Dear friend of Miss Guinness,

Tell Daphne we love her taste. We are sorry for the confusion about the contacts, we just want what's best for her. She is, even with contacts in, the best-dressed/styled woman in the universe. Also, I would appreciate that you let her know that I'm sure several of us would pay for tickets to see her closet.

P.S. I have a dream of dressing Miss Guinness at some point. Email me. We'll talk.

P.P.S. Daphne, want a tFS invite? They're exclusive and hard to come by. I will give you one.:woot:

I dont think passing along any notes to kiss her a.s.s are necessary, she can handle some 'criticism' which I dont even think was happening here, no one used the worst words like 'ugly' or 'hideous' as regarding those pics....I think its brave and cool wearing the contacts, they're of course going to warrant some comments, but no need to grovel/suck up to her because at the end of the day something on the net about her contacts shouldnt be bothering her so, but apparently it has. She, along with anyone who wears something 'not of the norm' should expect reactions whether externally (I get them a lot from just walking around in riding boots and jodphurs and an open shirt) or through the grapevine. But she shouldnt let it get to her.

iLaughead, you forgot to say I want to spend the weekend with her in a motel at the beach...

^ Come on without, come on within.. :o This is starting to sound interesting.... :shifty:

Psssh, whatever. Everybody raves about her choices usually, one element of an outfit being disliked doesn't really warrant a blog post.

That's rather reduced my opinion of her - with that comment she reminds me of Alexa Chung, hyper-sensitive to internet criticism, paranoid about commentary and really rather insecure.

pfft. Celebrities are public figures, I think they should try to take it alot less personally and not over-exaggerate a few comments here or there. I mean, in this thread most of us profess undying love for her style, even the negative comments (re: contacts) weren't all that negative.

omg she looks amazing in the Nars book wow. Also I wonder who reads these forums its really interesting I didnt have anything against the contacts they just seemed unusual even for some one as fashion forward as Daphne

I'm sorry this is OT but who is he? I saw him at Dior HC FW 09.10 sitting front row. Same leather outfit.

^Peter Marino. (He's the architect of quite a few Dior, Louis Vuittton, and Chanel stores, bizarrely enough.)

totally agree.
& thxs for the pics, i don't think i have ever seen them, nice photoshot

It's not even brave, goths have been wearing those things for years and years.
"Normal" people deal with far more negative comments in life and are expected to digest it and move on with little bother, why are celebrities so sensitive?

Can't speak for her but I think she's only wondering why her fans, those of all the OTHER otherworldy looks she favors, would react so negatively to a slight accessory like colored lenses. *shrugs*

I find it rather ironic that someone who is getting b*tt hurt about some anonymous Internet comments is lecturing about loss of sense of humour.
Also Daphne, you are definitely selling something: your image, your lifestyle and your taste, first to get opportunities to work with top fashion photographers and second to shift perfume bottles and white shirts.

Really disappointed by her infantile response. I though she was cooler and humbler than that.
