 I love how this collection has been styled in such a sloppy, rolled outof bed kina way. All the models look so comfortable and unique, like they just are wearing their own clothing

since when is she showing again? did i miss something?
the collection is surprisingly well done and strong! i like it.

love everything about this! the colors, the silhouettes. thanks caryanne.

Daryl is one of those designers whose pieces you really must look at in person to get an honest impression as I don't think images look that impressive. Otherwise,I find it all a bit bland and trendy. Has she been looking at any of these mass market stores at all? Half of what she's done here has been stocked in these places for three seasons now.

I like this collection and I also do like the sloppy look. The venue looks cool too

I like so much of it but it's probably because ( just like Scott said) stuff like these have been in most massmarket store for a while now...

BUT I just have to say.. I hate the leather pants

Nicely styled but separately, these pieces are nothing you can't get anywhere else. I agree with Scott - it's all a bit 'trendy'. Wouldn't say no if I saw it in person though.....

She's like a lower east side A.P.C.
E-Z basics. I appreciate the real styling. She knows her customer at least.

NEW YORK, February 9, 2006 – A scheduling snafu prevented many from seeing Daryl K's fall runway presentation, which is regrettable because it was one of her best. A blanket-wool coat with a bubble hem, topped with a tasseled beret, set the mood for a collection of relaxed and layered separates. Cocoon coats and kimono jackets came in cozy flannel and cashmere, while dresses and so-called slinky sweatshirts were done in jersey. Kerrigan styled the show with her usual ease, throwing archival and custom pieces into the mix.

The designer said she conceived the collection for "the same cool, rock 'n' roll woman who's always been my muse: She's grown up, but she hasn't grown old." That made for a presentation that was accomplished and clear in expression. Dresses were a focus this season. Nothing floaty, mind; Kerrigan opted instead for a "restrained" look, gathered at the waist and knee. Standouts were a chestnut silk number and another in black with button placket detailing. Alongside these "punky couture" dresses, she showed staples like wrap tops, pencil skirts, and, of course, leggings. Kerrigan has had her share of business woes, but this collection suggests that she's on an upswing at last.

Love it.. some of it is very Ann Dem...

i don't really see any ressemblance.....

i think daryl k is getting worse season after season..... trend obsessed perhaps...? not liking ANY of it......

barney's has been having her do an exclusive collection for them for their co op floor which i imagine has given her business a much needed influx of cash...
could explain why it looks less 'trashy' than usual...

ps-she's been back on the runway fro three season at leasts...
and the store is also open again on crosby...

funny-
when has she NOT been trendy and overpriced...:ermm:...
not to mention poor quality...:innocent:
that is who she is and who her customer has always been...
i fshe didn't have that 'cult' following...she would never be able to hang on the way she does...

ehhh I guess it's very wearable, and there are some pieces I would definitely see myself wearing. But none of this is exciting or original...it all looks very bland and trendy, even more so than some past seasons.

she has been ushing the same stuff FOREVER she started the whole sleek, leggings, bubble mini, ankkle boot, long shirt/dress thing--or atleast was the first to push it. these are he urban basics she built her lin eon--- after over 15 years--isn't it time to move on?
