It looks like Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin are ripping off his style. I like the motion in his pictures a lot. They're very messy but inspirational at the same time. Kind of unrealistic but possible to manage.

Hmm...what pictures specifically do you think they are ripping off David? Because I think of their styles and tastes as very different. The moods are often similar but I&V are very much about stillness, coldness, frozen images and David is about motion, madness, drama, jumping, craziness.

No picture in particual, I totally get a David feel when I look at their pictures. The strange positioning, the ugly/beautiful faces, the lazy movements et.c. The picture quality is very toned down color-tonewise, kind of cold and plastic.

I think the strangeness and ugliness is more signature Inez. She's been doing it for a very long time, way before David was a high fashion favorite. David's work is more classically beautiful. He's less weird and artsy, more straightforward.
