Derek Lam Bags

Derek Lam has a new collection of bags out this season and I was wondering if anyone had any more information on these lovelies. I think they're pretty gorgeous and I love the gold hardware/fact that they expand by opening the zipper. There is a small piece on them in the latest Vogue, I will scan and post it later.

They look really luxurious and the leather appears very high quality. And this is his first effort?...very nice. They have a MJ vibe to me.

I like them alot. Can't really see what's going on with the interior - but it looks interesting. Wish they were a few hundred dollars less though. Wonder what the size is - pics are so deceiving! Do we know anywhere in the US that has (or is going to have) these?

Runway shots, so you can get an idea of the sizes overall, that cape Caroline is wearing MUST be mine. I just love it. I've emailed Derek Lam & eLuxury about these bags so hopefully I'll get a little feedback soon on when these will be in stores or up on eLux. The large size seems very big so perhaps a medium bag might in these might be more my speed, though I do love carrying around a lot of stuff

Thanks for posting Luxx, I like the bags! The leather looks great. I think I'd like the bags more though if they used a different hardware, a darker tone brushed matte rose gold would be nice.

The Persephone is on my "Should I or shouldn't I" bag list for Fall.
I love the size and the design though I agree with Taitai that it would be fantastic if the hardware was less "bling", based on what I've seen from the photos.
However, $2150 is a little pricey for it..given that I have busted my bag budget for like this lifetime and the next.

I saw the Lam bags in the May Vogue yesterday and am glad to see a thread has beens started and that there are some interest in it! I am in love with the "medium size" bag priced at $1950, in both the violet as well as navy colors. I'm interested to see how the commercial versions of the bags will look - hopefully the color of the hardware will change a bit.

I saw these in Vogue too...and while I love the colour and shape the blingy gold is so not my style. I'd love to see more pics!
