I was in a store yesterday thinking of buying this perfume, but just as I was slowly extending my hand towards it, I noticed that there were variations. Many variations:shock: Some were marked eau de perfume, some eau de toilette, and there was even a complete shower gel range. So I was wondering, what's the difference smell wise between eau de perfume and eau de toilette, and heck, would you also get the same smell after washing with the shower gel?

It should be the same scent in all the products. Perfume is concentrated, EdP is less concentrated, then comes EdT. And of course, shower gel is not very concentrated at all, and you rinse it off. It'll leave a very discrete scent, hardly noticeable.

Perfume comes in different strengths of scent - the strongest being parfum which is like a concentrate. Eau de parfume is stronger and then you get ea de toilette which is the weakest version. Obviously, the stronger the perfume is, the more expensive is.

Shower gel won't give you the same scent intensity as any degree of perfume because you wash most of it off leaving only a faint whiff.

Ooh I see, cheers guys! I'm definitely gonna keep away from the dodgy shower gels now  on a different note, a local store near me is selling YSL nu eau de toilette for only £18!:woot: *sigh* I'm gonna have even less money left...
