I'm confised about the colors. Is the chocolate actually the green? Cuase the green isn't on the list and I've never seen the chocolate.

I talked to the Dior SA today and she said I she'll call me when the next shipment comes in, and that I wont have to go down tot he end of the list. I'm hoping she follows through and I'll get a call soon :-D

on the faxed sheets I got and from what my SA said..there is no green like Mischa hers comes in red ,white and brown.

Brown is in the Bazaar page 196 and the ad is red in Vogue. White is what ppl are carrying.

She said some of the evening gauchos might come in green

mmmm...but i saw a green in Hk yesterday....i'm certain. Remember each store buys different stock....and the SA's sometimes only get to see what their store orders in. Hence why we usually know more than the do!!!

yeah sorry that comes from a USA book. So that is a USA thing.

The gaucho is growing on me, but I like the bigger sizes better than the small Mischa is carrying.

That is weird because when I talked to the Dior SA at BH, he called it green. I really can't wait for you to get your bag because I really really really really!!! want to see pictures of it and hear your comments! I absolutely love that color and the white one.

I think it's actually the same color, it's just photographed diffrently.

On looking at it even closer this time (if that's possible), I think you're right. At first, I thought it was the mulberry color. I need to stop obsessing about this bag. I can't wait until it comes in.

I just came back from viewing the white Dior Gaucho. The shade really surprised me, so much so that I actually didn't buy it. I was expecting a whiter bag, but its a really chalky even gray color. The style of the bag is great, but I just couldn't get past the color. I'm sure someone else will love it though

I checked out the auction and the bag looks so stiff in the pics. I was looking forward to soft, buttery leather. I'm thinking it may be similar to the paddington, where if you fill it up with tissue it's look like a big cylender, but is so pretty and saggy when you wear it. Is it becuase it's prabably just stuffed with tissue, and that it would sag and wrinkle more with something heavier inside?

If you look at the earlier picture with Mischa, it looks stiffer than the large bag, same for the in catalogs. It looked like his pictures were that of small and the large. Not sure though. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out because the other pictures made it look so soft.

Also, am I confused or something but how does he/she already have one to sell? I have no real idea how the market outside the boutiques really work, but it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Is what he/she wrote true? I still don't get how they sell it under retail.

Noriko - Thanks for the report! I think I will definitely have to see it before getting it now. That's so disappointing to hear. I had the same thing happen with the Ivory Paddington. I was so excited to get it and when it arrived, it was a HUGE let-down. It looked more along the lines of yellowish white than the ivory I was looking for.

How do the other colors look?

He invited me in today to check out the red and the brown coming in, but didn't think it would really be worth it. The white was the one I was really looking forward to

Aww.. I'm sorry! I'm really curious to see the bag in person to see what your talking about.

Balenciaga - I think your right about that, I didn't even notice that he had the one-flap. I remember last night when I checked outthe auction, it was at 2700, he's lowered it a lot but I dont think it's below retail still since it's the smaller size. The person may be a model or a VIP that got one of the sample pieces. Or they could have just gotten it from the boutique, I got a call from Dior NY on tuesday that they have them in.

I was going to go for the chanel becuase I thought the goucho would have stiff leather, but now I'm pretty sure that it's only the smaller sizes. So now I'm once again unndecided I'm thankful dior does refunds so I can decide after I see it in person.

I got this picture from diorboutique.com (it's avalible to buy for anyone in france), it shows the much nicer leather.

That large double saddle seems to be slouchier and softer then the medium one on ebay...the tote seems really nice and soft too
