Dior Men F/W 2025.26 Paris

It could not be more commercial and inoffensive than this. We know what a black-and-white collection means. Farewell KJ. See you, at best, at Burberry or never. :shifty:

Did he take inspiration to Lady Justice?

It is swan song, looked like funeral which I don’t mind in that instance: I especially liked sober minimalistic Japanese silhouettes and some particular pieces.

Overall his tenure was weak and I hope mediocre “Dior Men” will be again great Dior Homme.

Doesn't Burberry deserve someone better than Jones? I think it is a good British cultural name need another revamp after two failed attenpt, but good luck with Jones.

I too wondered if it was a swan song. Which made me wonder what mark he's left at Dior. In all these years he spent there, I don't think I can recall a single memorable collection. This one is no exception. Give Dior Homme (I will always refuse to call it Dior Men) to JWA while we're at it, this entire brand needs a shakeup.

A travesty. An entire collection of missteps.

The draped feminine pieces are abominable. The blazer with the inset lapels and the jacket with the bow and bib at the back are an abomination.

The draped black top with the open back another nightmare. The ecru off-the-shoulder is unspeakable. The pink car coat with inset lapels...the pink jacket with those bows at the sleeves... it never stops...

The sole exceptions are the white safari jacket and white shantung jacket

Bernard, release us from this madness.

I think the embedding of very classic feminine Dior shapes into menswear is an interesting idea, but I find the execution here lackluster. It’s like looking at shadow images of old Dior in very basic menswear. This is a purely formalist design exercise. I think this would have been better with more focus and interesting fabrication. I remind myself of Raf Simon’s collection for Dior that he showed in Tokyo, where he showed a long bar jacket in a very outdoor technical fabric a la stone island.

If it’s a swan song, I won’t miss his Dior, I haven’t bought anything from them in ages.

This collection is giving swan-song energy. Let's hope that's the case.
I don't want to lower your (and most of yours) hopes down.
Remember when Martha Grace of Dior made an all-black + veil at the funeral kind of collection for Haute Couture F/W 2019?
I read it here (long before I became a member) that most of you had a speculation if that collection will be the swan-song..farewell collection.

and 6 years later...

We still got Martha's insufferable collections from time to time..

LOL..😭

I think the difference now, though, is that there is some clear information on the replacements when before we didn't have any credible information on one.

I find Kim Jones' Dior mediocre beyond belief, but this I like a lot.

The samurai inspiration, the ritualistic vibe of some looks. It is delicate but still it is a mens wardrobe. My favorite so far in Paris.

Hard to believe this is KJ.

That's the way I read it but largely because of the the reaction from people attending (standing ovation) and Delphine hugging him at the end. It all seemed very portending.

Idk if I would call the collection stunning though. Boring, basic, commercial, wearable, yes. The pink pieces are giving me maternity nurse.

Your relationship wasn't going anywhere, and you were hesitating during months, although in the bottom of your heart you knew it was over, so one day you take the decision, and you break up, still remaining friends, and you are moving out, but one night your now ex surprises you with a nice dinner and flowers, and for one second you wonder: maybe we could come back again... but no, it is not a good idea. It is really over.

So yes, Kim needs to go.
