DKNY Womens Fall 05-06

Quite a nice change from the usual although it looks more like styling than designing because the designs are very 'vintage inspired', maybe too much. Together with the dolls it becomes a bit too 'vintage shop costume department' for me.

^The whole vintage feel was the same inspiration for the summer collection

Exactly what I was thinking!!

really not that flattering with all the dolls....but the clothes are nice, i think

^ yeah, i agree.... the clothes look nice but a little over-styled and the mannequins are just freaky and make it hard to see the clothes:angry:

^ Ditto, it's been like that since their last collection. The dolls are pretty distracting.

this doesn't fit in with what i think of when i think dkny. this looks too obviously romantic and/or eccentric.

I think I like the clothes, but I can't say it because I can't see them! Why Donna Karan insist on presenting her collection in this way? For the summer collection it was original because it was the first time she did it, but now it seems that she wants to save money not paying models.

Maybe if I could actually distinguish between manequins and clothes in the dimly lit show room I would be able to form an opinion on the collection... :innocent:

But anyway, like someone said, I dont link this with DKNY.. it looks very vintage, and I never associated that with DKNY.

me either marc jacobs addict...i wonder why she stopped showing on actual models...

it looks like she rented out an antique clothing store.
Not loving it =/
