i was thinkin how much i like the shoes from yohji's fall show...

Docs and Yohji
Doc Martens are like Cher and cockroaches, they will simply never go away. And for good reason: the iconic brand, created in 1960, has been adored by workmen, punks, and later grunge guys and gals for their comfort, indestructibility, and street cred. To keep the brand au courant, they have recently collaborated with the perennial cool man himself, Yohji Yamamoto. Between the two, lads and lasses will get the best of both worlds: Docs’ iconic soles and silhouette, and Yohji's design aesthetic. Expect a rich color range of cherry red, purple, and black, of course, with Yohji's signature on the inside sole. The limited-edition line will reach select stores in time for fall leaf kicking and bonfire stomping.

Those by Yamamoto look good, but overall I detest Doc Martens.

I think Yohji has done this before though? I remember seeing a pair of mens Yohji x Docs 14 eyelet boots a year or two ago..

now this is the kind of thing Docs should have done years ago after they first started suffering finance-wise.

i could also see them pairing up with iconic english designers like luella bartley.

can't wait till i see em.

im guessing they will be sold at english store like shelly's.

i own a pair of docs/yohji boots from a few years ago when he first did them. Before this pair I have never owned Docs...pretty comfortable and funky. the ones I have are the ox blood color with double shoelaces and a zipper down the middle. get many compliments on them! look forward to seeing the new line again.

luckyme, i think its going to be hard to find them in the US. the retail stores where you can find Docs here have been drastically reduced since the heydey of the mid 90's.

i really like the multiple strapped boot.

They are might pricy though for Doc Martens but i think need a new pair anyway... and they might as well be the Yohji ones!

gah....i remember being obsessed with those things when i was thirteen/fourteen years old the simple ones,i cannot believe i ever liked them....just makes me think of all those cliquey alterna-tribes. but these that yohji has done might draw me back in....

you can buy them in the US here. they have fast become my all time favorite Docs. the red lining and the soft leather are original Doc's about 100 notches up...Congrats Imelanie

You can buy them all straight from Doc's website. This season it's only womens though, no mens.
