Inventive or weird?

weird???...i don't think so...i ithink it's beautfiully stylish and elegant...very reminiscent of balenciaga and dior and givenchy in the 50's/60's...

the kind of thing you might see grace kelly in...

who makes it?...

It's Roland Mouret. I'm contemplating buying it, but only if I'm certain I'll be wearing it for years to come (barring excessive weight gain). ;)

well that figures...i think roland is going for that givenchy position...i really love his stuff...it's classic yet modern and with a twist...i think he really gets it right...

that dress will definitely work for years to come...but you're right...no pasta before wearing that one...
^_^ :D

I think he'd be great for Givenchy.

The model looks kinda funny in the dress. Maybe it's just a poor fit.

the fit looks weird on the model but i like how its not too showy. very classic.

i just think the dress needs a slip... ;) :innocent:

I like it... It's definately a classic... You could do so many things with it...

FAB, even though his winter collection has gone wrong a little... watch out for the sizing, is very untrue to size

I think that is a very classic elegant dress- it's a great choice!

I think it could very easily have a multi-year life. I think you could accesorize this piece very easily.

A slip? I had noooo idea people still wore slips??? (except as outer-wear)
I think the dress is intended to fit that way and that you CAN eat a huge *** bowl of pasta before wearing it because the gathers will disguise your lil carbo-pooch. Def you can wear it for years and years and your offspring might appreciate it too- CLASSIC PURTY ELEGANT

i would really consider it before buying it. i personally didn't really like roland mouret's collectionh. but hey it's your choice

well...i'd probably wear it with opaque or textured tights...remember...we have winter on the east coast...so we wear hosiery... plus it looks so great!!!...

and since practically nothing is lined anymore...you need a slip to keep your clothes from sticking to you...plus it feels nice to have something silky against your skin reather than some nubby wool tweed... ;) :P
your skirt slides up so nicely around your legs wheen you sit down and cross them...it's very sexy really... :innocent:

I also think it's quite classic. I think it looks weird on hana because she is too skinny around the waist for it thus it goes all baggy. It fits much better on the manequin at net-a

I do, and would never wear one as outerwear...

That dress is very elegant for someone a bit older than me.

Okay- This makes me want to go out and buy slip...
