I feel like i should like it… it’s Meisel not in a blank studio setting… but i don’t. There’s something about the lighting makes it look cheap

All I see is Klein for DSquared. And it’s a bland iteration of that too.

Kit is a good model, but the makeup and angles/lighting is like they tried to make him look a little more like someone else. Needs more machismo to make this work - which would have made the tackiness work in their favour - and Kit doesn’t have that exactly.

So retro and dated, as a long time fan I have to be honest and say that meisel hasn’t put anything out in over a decade that is even memorable. Good sure impactful or worth what he charges people not at all. He's like a LV neverfull bag, you're being scammed in price thinking you will get a quality bag then realize your overpaying for coated canvas that makes you look like every other basic with it. It’s time to retire because he’s definitely not going out like his predecessors that kept making beautiful work up until their last breaths.

Klein for Dsquared is less tacky than this. This is a very terrible glossy-esque type of tackiness in photography. Very Michael by Michael Kors circa 2007.

At least Dsquared has humor and you are in the joke.

For me, this is as bad as what he does for Anna Sui.

By now, to me the ad is about a youg celebrity or rockstar. If it is the case, It's not the first time he does this theme. I remember his eds for the VH1 awards seasons. Also he made Madonna for the last time, a pop icon. Michael Kors to me is about luxury, young group posing inside a yate or helicopter, taken by Mario Testino. Maybe this makes me think about 212 ads for Carolina Herrera (CH ads by Testino looked tacky!), but not those Karmen Pedaru campaigns which I love and miss as well. Two pictures by far. Looking for the rest and the female version to be sure about it. Not dislinking, I love it! If this makes me look like a fool, I'm a happy one
