^^ She tells, as an answer to the interviewers question, that she might earn the same money that Kate does someday, but that Kate is a personality. Another person who she isn't trying to become. She says that she tries to obtain the status for herself, but in her very own person.

And I'm sad and happy that she becomes an angel.
It means lots of pics of her from great events and THE show, but less high fashion.

I'm happy for her if she becomes an angel, I honestly see her as much more than just a fashion model, she has the potential to appeal to the mass public. I know a lot of people associate VS with downgrading from high fashion but just look at Gisele, a successful model will be one no matter what she does.

When she was with VS she did a lot major campaigns.. Cavalli, Dior, Valentino, Dolce and a lot more so I think what Laughingdisorder was writing was nothing wrong with... But Doutzen is no Gisele, I don't think the high fashion industry will remember Doutzen for a long while... But we will see. Let's hope the best.

the thing with gisele is I never thought her face was very commercial when she did high fashion , she isn't as gorgeous as Doutzen yet she became so famous..I think its more than just looks with Gisele ... to appeal to the public is deffinitely more than being barbie pretty and Doutzen has the personality but maybe she should cut back on saying the charity for guilt of beautiful etc etc

People shouldn't criticize Doutzen for being a bit guilty about being in the only job where you can waltz right in at the top without any training.

Who could turn down the millions they are throwing at her for VS? It may be a bit trashy, but money is why she is modeling. Once she has the big contracts, she can pick and choose the work she wants. I hope she has a LOT of fun!
