Doutzen Kroes

^well, right. As long as the statue is less attractive than the real Doutzen. So no phothograper would think "I'd rather put the statue in my ads than the real girl, it's more beautiful...and less expensive of course haha"

the statue does not lok like herself at all. But great that she got one.

Campaign: Abercrombie & Fitch Summer 2004
PH: Bruce Weber

About a month ago I've asked if anyone knew when Doutzen worked with Bruce Weber, well here is the answer. Altough the pics looks more like polaroids.

Supermodel and face of L'Oréal Paris Doutzen Kroes has been one of my favourite models over the past few years, so I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to meet her at the L'Oréal Melbourne Fashion Festival on Monday. After a long haul flight and three hectic days in Melbourne, the rest of us would be left feeling (and looking) exhausted and ragged. But, the down-to-earth Dutch beauty was absolutely charming and enviably beautiful. She had the most flawless and radiant skin that I have ever seen.

Old interview from Elle Magazine 2007 (not sure which month) that i really enjoyed reading ^_^

Since Doutzen sent a few vacation flicks to a modeling agency, the phone has been red hot.
She strut over the biggest international runways and is the first Dutch model with a mega-cosmetics-contract: she is one of the international ambassadors of L'Oreal.

L'Oreal said that you've got a "timeless talent and blinding beauty". What's your personal opinion considering your strong points?
'Whoa, thanks for such a big compliment!
I am proud on how I sit in each other and how I develop.
I was brought up in a great way and I am my parents very grateful for that. Also, the people I got to know now, has made me who I am today. I learn(ed) incredibly much 'cause I'm very willing and open for this.
The same goes for negative experiences, I always see a positive side in everything.
I've got difficulties in judging my looks.
I like my calves the best.'

With what part of your body have you had problems with in the past? And now?
'In the past I was insecure about my butt. I have learned to accept and appreciate it. I found out that boys actually like them. At this point I'm insecure about my thighs and hips. It costs me a lot of effort to keep them tight and in shape, but I give it my all!'

What is your beautyritual?
'Every morning and evening I clean my face and apply cream.
In my opinion it's really important to get all the make-up off before going to bed. Now and then I visit the spa for a facial, I love it!
I pay too little attention to my feet, though. Especially if you think about the fact that they carry my body everywhere and always need to wear hard (to walk in) shoes.
I do take good care of my legs. After taking a shower I always apply oil to them.'

What do you leave to the pro's?
'I always get a mani,- and pedicure during photoshoots.
This is really nice 'cause because of them my nails always look good taken care off. I take care of the other stuff myself.'

Favorite beautyproducts?
'My lash curler, Bioforce from A. Vogel cream, I always use that one for dry/chapped lips and above all, it give my lips a glossy look, and Glam Shine Juice lipgloss from L'Oreal. The prettiest color is Mambo Juice.'

What parfume do you use?
'I often forget to use parfume, but I think that Narciso Rodriquez for her smells really good.'

How do you survive with such a busy schedule?
'A weekend Friesland, fresh air, love from my parents, and I'm ready to go!'

What food do you like best?
'I'm crazy about nuts, dried fruit, cheese, and especially chocolate! I only eat in smaller portions, that's my secret.
I never go on diets, but I do work out a lot.'

What's the best beauty secret that you've learned from a beauty care specialist?
'From Lucia Pieroni (a famous beauty specialist from NY, with fans as Kate Moss and Hillary Swank, saves.) I have learned how to I can create a natural make-up look.
The lash curler does wonders, it opens your eyes up, a little blush with that, lipgloss, and you're ready to go!'

What do you do to kill the time during make-up sessions?
'I'm a big thinker and dreamer. I just sit there and fantasize about different stuff, the future, this' and thats, and time just flies by. It's some sort of meditation.'

Which fellow-model is a true beauty in your opinion?
Lonneke Engel, Anne Marie van Dijk, Mireille L'Amie are true beauties. From the inside and out!'
