Oh, right. I watched the full VSFS 2008 now (it's because of the excitement!) and Doutzen leaves me speechless!

^^They wanted Doutzen to be part of the pre-promotions. (with the airplane and revealing of the star on Hollywood Boulevard) And if she would accept the private plane she could be there but she tought that was harmful to the environment so she turned that offer down.

True, it must have been 2006 when they offered her the private jet..then in 2007 she bailed out on it to get some award in Fryslan.....which was pure tactics to get the contract if you ask me. Who on earth would skip a VS show to get some unknown award...next thing you know she gets signed on as an angel in december 2007

I'm not sure about you're theory but she she got the prix de la mode award for best model, the event was sponsored by L'oreal so mabey the forced her to be there (as a spokesmodel aswell), but that's just my guess.

To be honest I hope she tones it down this year.. I think shes gorgeous but for me she was perfect in 06 , in 08 she sort of.. went a bit jumpy.. arh well

I agree with Dadum_ I think what you mention could be the biggest reason she wasn't there.. but her VS contract had something to do with that as well...

I also hope she tones down this year.. really didn't like her in the 1st segment..

thats a fact thank god there are still really beautiful models, rare though.

Imagine Doutz doing a shoot with Tori Praver. Both looking like twins, with mirrors and sapphic love but very high art.

Well, that's a lot of tape to sit through for just a little bit of Doutzen. But I did. I like the fact that she was the one who closed off the show with a kiss. The floral segment was altogether the nicest, I thought. Too much focus on the entertainer in the first section, although in Doutzen's two very brief clips in that one, she was magical. I think she has the softest, most innocent-seeming demeanour among the models, and that (besides her beauty) makes her the loveliest girl in the show. Some of the other girls, IMO, weren't very attractive, not even by straight-size standards.

Do they all need to be so...brown? A little less bronzer/tanner/whatever might not be a bad thing.
