Doutzen Kroes

Sorry if it has already been asked, but is Doutzen doing any of the haute couture shows in Paris? I haven't spotted her yet. :(

a certain bitchy fashion birdie told me about these two, big-lipped, BFF Supermodels, whose friendship went kaput when one models career went soaring high. She nabbed one of the industry's biggest campaign. A case of classic jealousy? Nope, it's another way around, apparently the model got so full of herself that she think she's too good for her old friend, so she dumped her. How true?

highly doubtful. doutzen is extremely modest and very much a small town girl. watch the video interviews on supermodels.nl. if your statement is in fact at all true, it's most likely that some girl got jealous of doutzen because that's always the source of every fight between girls..boys and jealousy. i am positive doutzen has good character and would not stoop so low as to act like that. of course, i don't know her, i've just read about her, but from what i've seen she seems to be one of the nicest models i've come across.

I will quote a poster from Bianca Balti thread, named Spiegel, who reponded to my blind Item Post:rolleyes: Do read.......

yes, doutzen kroes has gotten extremely big-headed. :yuk: she's fake during interviews and super demanding/bitchy off-camera. after her success, which is not even as great as some other very down to earth models (i.e daria, gemma, etc.) she has developed a diva attitude. word about this flying around very fast within the industry and if she keeps it up, her career in the future will not look so good.

^ To me Spiegel is just stating his/her opinion. It's total speculation. I won't believe a single word til I see the facts. On top of that, I just want to note, I'm sure Gemma and Daria have their moments of frustrations at shows. Come on people, these models are out all day going to different shows, getting their hair yanked on, poked, pushed, rushed, etc, etc. Just because of a little cry and temper here and there does not make one a "DIVA". Oh my god people, this is so f*cking lame!:censored: -_-

Hi Dadum, which Glamour, the American one? Can you scan, please? Thanks a lot!

I'm sorry but I don't have that Issue. I think it's the American Glamour but I'm not sure. Hopefully someone else can scan those pics for all the Doutzen fans;)

About Spiegel

Why is he saying stuff like that. In the past he/she posted very positive stuff about Doutzen and now this. So he met Doutzen and she was a b*tch?? Yeah right, dream one, we want proofs

Obviously some people can't have it that Doutzen is so succesful...that's all I have to say.

She has an interview in this month's Dutch ELLE, here it is with a translation;) :flower:

Scanned by me

The Frysian Doutzen Kroes (21) is doing shows for Viktor&Rolf and Dsquared, she’s the face of Calvin Klein and this autumn also L’Oréal Paris. Two years ago she was on ELLE’s cover, by now she’s hot in the world of fashion. ELLE searched for Doutzen for a retrospection.
What do you remember from that covershoot? ‘It was fun to do, especially because it’s a Dutch magazine. Now my friends could see me on a cover, they rather buy a Dutch ELLE then an Italian Vogue.’
Are you different in your work now then 2 years ago? ‘It’s getting easier. You get used to the travelling. I’m working with the same people, it’s actually a very small world.’
What the biggest change in your life? ‘Moving to New York. I really needed to get used to it there, I missed my friends and family. It’s so different then Oostermeer, the village where I’m from. When people asked if I was going to live in Brooklyn or Manhattan, I said; No, I’m going to live in New York. I really didn’t know the difference.’
Are things different then you expected? ‘The fashionworld is less glamourous then it seems. It’s very busy. People always expect me to be beautiful and never being ill.’
Do you think it’s hard to stay with both feet on the ground? ‘No. Some girls act like a diva. That’s a stimulance for me to do that not. I think it’s important that people like me. I did learn to defend myself, but I don’t think that’s acting like a diva.’
Did there ever go something wrong during a fashionshow? ‘During a show for Victoria’s Secret, my shoe fell off. I did not know what to do. Keep on walking or go back? I reacted just to turn around and pick up the shoe. And during a show for Dsquared my heel kept hanging in my dress (?), I just tried to keep on walking and not making a weird face.’
How does it feel to be the face of L’Oréal Paris? ‘I’m very honoured to be part of their team with all those famous actrices.’
What do you want to do after your modelling career? ‘I want to do something for the world. I’m living in a dreamworld, being surrounded by luxury. Some time ago I was on holiday in Sri Lanka and saw how it’s like in poor countries. I realised: What’s bothering me now? Clothes?

Thanks for the translation evisu donna. I like here how she's telling it like it is. In a business like where she is, a model needs to be strong, yet be kind. She is both. You can't let the people around you walk all over you. This girl has got confidence and for some idiots out there, I suppose they don't get the difference between having confidence and being a bitchy diva.....

huh, she's tone of the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Natural and sophisticated ...

The picture in post #4193 has got to be one of my all time favorite photographs... It reminds me a lot of Frank Horvat's work for vogue etc... in the 1950's -60's she could easily be of that era. Very classy, elegant, regal... I love it.

Thanks for all the lovely pictures
