Every time I’ve been home in Friesland it’s very difficult to leave. I’ve cried a little when my parents brought me to the airport. Doutzen was for 2 days in her hometown Eastermar, that is not happening to often. Since she has sent picture to her agency her career took of big time. She’s model for Calvin Klein and L’Oreal. She was on the runway for almost every big designer like Versace, VS & Gucci. Doutzen is smiling: ‘It’s incredible what’s happening to me, my mind isn’t always able to come with me’. Doutzen: ‘Soon I’m on the cover of US Vogue, that’s what I’ve always wanted’. Sarah Keller: Doutzen has almost done everything what you can do as a model. For Doutzen that’s a challenge to keep her career up in this level. Doutzen: ‘When I can keep up this level, I hope I’ll get similar career as someone like Claudia Shiffer or Kate Moss’. After high school she wanted to become a teacher. But her agency had other plans with her. After a couple of weeks they sent her to NY. Doutzen was very overwhelmed by it.

Ok, I read the part about US Vogue cover in the interview, and it really sounds like she'll be on the cover for sure...but indeed I have to see it before I can believe it. It would be amazing because it would mean she has been on all major Vogue covers then.
