Top Dutch model Doutzen Kroes, who shot to worldwide fame in fashion shows for Victoria’s Secret, has been chosen as the face of the Ankara Shopping Fest.

The Ankara Shopping Fest is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ankara Governor’s Office, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, the Ankara Chamber of Commerce, and the Union of Chamber and Commodity Exchanges.

Kroes will come to Ankara May 17 to attend a press conference and the event’s promotion gala, according to a statement made by the Ankara Chamber of Commerce. Retailers will hold special sales during the shopping festival, which will take place between June 8 and July 1.

Everything European sells abroad. It's crazy because they have awesome features in Turkey; great models no doubt (never heard of a lot of them, Europe is in the limelight when it comes to this kind of 'cultural' stuff) and then they use European women; in Asia as well. She did the Liverpool Fashion Fest in Brazil or something too though didn't she?
