^ one of my fave ss07 collections, so ..effortless

thanks

I will always be a fan of drapery, it's so much more my aesthetic than the super structered and tailored pieces that have dominated fashion lately.

I love the way the dresses at Dior moved, the weight of the embroidery paired with the airy fabric gave an interesting feeling to the dresses.

My favorite characteristic about this trend would have to be how versatile it is. Just from looking at the pics already posted, you can tell that it can be worn any time of the day or any occasion. And it goes along with every sense of style, it goes from both elegance (lanvin) to everyday (costello) and to the experimental (ann d.).

And my god, does the first dior posted look lovely?

All the pieces shown here are so beautiful, I could definitely see myself wearing them - it's so feminine, light and airy....

 Thanks for all the pics! I love this thread :flower:

I'm beyond blissful about this trend...

Draping is one of my favourite trends of the last few years. I find it very elegant, flattering (especially when draped around the shoulders) and very feminine.

There was some beautiful draping this year. Especially at Rick Owens!

im more leaning towards draping for actual wearing...though i love the hard, scupltural shapes as well..but i would feel more at ease with more volume and gathers

really enjoying marc and ann's grungy style..rick's draping is gorgeous as well..but some how i cant imagine my self in that kind of outfit..i would feel quite restricted..his style to me always seem too heavy

edit: oh i love the A.F. Vandevorst pics! :flower:
