Eeek, utopia, I love Victor Horta and Hotel Tassel, I wish this picture showed the staircase and the wallpaper up close, words can't describe!

I would like Bill Gate's house in Seattle (I believe it is in or near Seattle...not sure)

It's very techie, each room adjusts to the person's lighting, temperature, ambient preference... motion sensored everything... very high tech and geeky. :-)

My dream is a house in The Hamptons, NY.......

My guest room is similar to above

I fashion my gourmet kitchen after this one (I have very very similar cabinets/counters...)

I'm a very modest person with a great sense of style though. I prefer my house midsized, with interesting archetecture, with a gerat amount of day light coming and and with contemporary and victorian furniture. I like to mix different movements.

Here you have my dream house:

^I think I saw that house on HGTV! (Can you tell I don't get out much?)

I don't have a dreamhouse until now .. maybe it is already built somewhere , but i'm pretty sure I can't find the picture in the internet^_^

Nevertheless there I know two houses, which are very beautiful imo ... first one: the villa tugendhat ... i guess there is no need to explain beside it was built by mies van der rohe.

and the second one ...is in berlin and built by the two architects abcarius & burns.

maybe you can't see from those few pictures, but it is really beautiful and special. it is worth it to read the text.

But my real dream house will be built by my brother in the future...
I hope so , cause he's studying architecture right now. I'm only 15 , he has still some time left.

The interior of mine would be completely hospital white or variations of white with some black and neutrals, everything would have sharp corners and edges (completely childproof) and light would fall through the windows in angles.

^I guess I'm the complete opposite..
- I want colours, wood and a bit of metal..

I don't excactly know what my dream house will be like.. But I do know that I want it to be cosy..
perhaps some sort of a cottage, a swedish wood house, an old factory of some sort or a timberframing :woot:
I just want it to be somewhat old and have a history.. Don't want to build one myself..

Inside I just want to have what I love, mix-matching everything.. Designer, Ikea, souvenirs from all over the world (hopefully) whatever floats my boat.. And again I just want it to be cosy and look like it's being lived in...
Wallpaper is a must for me as well as well as pillows lots of pillows..
^_^

Cozy on the inside, and to be honest I think I'd like the outside to look like a giant dollhouse, giant compared to actual doll houses. The inside might be decorated like a combination of a Parisian apartment, something out of the 20s or 30s meet eccentric granny from the late 1800s....even though I'm not sure what that would look like. I'd want windows that allow light in but with nice curtains that allow me privacy, especially since it creeps me out to have exposed windows at night where someone could be looking inside. It would be spacious enough but I don't like the idea of a house so large I need a map for it. I doubt I'll ever live with enough people to need that much space. I'd have a room that could be used for sewing and especially for working on paintings where no one would care if I get paint on the floor. I don't really have room for that at the moment. :( Also it would great to have a sauna somewhere in the house. And I think I'll agree with wanting wall paper, unless I can get really good at painting nice designs on the wall myself.
