Ever tried something on in a store, been smitten, taken it home and realized there is something seriously wrong? Wrong size, shape, color, you will never wear it?

What was your worst case of "shopping goggles"?

For me, it is a tie between a pair of jeans too big in the waist and a jacket whose sleeves are even more too long than usual.

I sold the jeans. I still have the jacket because I love it, but I hardly ever wear it. I sometimes think of having the sleeves shortened, but it is a leather jacket with detailing near the cuffs, so the sleeves would have to be taken in at the shoulder and I don't know anyone I trust to do it satisfactorily.

the mirrors in the shops are made so that you look taller and thinner. so when i go home and try it on again, it just doesn't look the same. sigh.

it honestly ALWAYS happens to me therefore i NEVER try anything on in the shop. take it home, try it on with different of my own clothes, high heels, flats, and if that works THEN i keep it^_^

fitting rooms are either too small, too bright, wrong mirrors OR the stupid Sales person keeps coming in or asking me something through the door which destracts me:angry:
