Duchess of Windsor, Wallis Simpson's Style

New York: The Duke and Duchess of Windsor who arrived on the S.S. Queen Mary looks as if they are having a little difference of opinion as the camera, last word in candidness, caught them in their limousine after disembarking. They came here from France, via England which is now in a tizzy over the approaching wedding of Princess Elizabeth, to which the Windsors (he is Lillybet's uncle Eddie) were not invited.1947.

This is interesting,not Wallis but;
This frock is among the crations (Schiaparelli) chosen by Mrs. Simpson, to be worn after her forthcoming marriage to the Duke of Windsor. Mrs. Simpson's flair for sport clothes is demonstrated in the above. It is a crepe marocain, boldly printed in blue, black and white.
