Is it truly that painful to hire a black model? So painful that we have to take a white model and make her black?
My thoughts exactly.

The colors of the pic are super pumped up- it looks like someone got a little creative with the photoshopping. I doubt that she was actually "painted" darker. But I don't know . . .

If that was the case, I wonder whether she knew...?

My exact same thoughts, Le!
The controversial ALL-BLACK show!

Well... the thing that concerns me the most is the fact that they haven't showed a black model on their editorials (is it true?). My guess is that they meant to go that way ... maybe we just dont get the stylist humour!

Come to think of it, I don't know that I've ever seen a black model in Harpar's Bazaar.
Wasn't there an editorial with Naomi recently? I may be wrong

I love her performance for Chanel winter, she is really cute

hmmmm....i would never look at that pic and think that they were trying to make her look black. What ever happened to just interesting make-up? She has full lips anyways so its not like they made those bigger as well as making ehr skin darker to enhance the "illusion". After all, you see people like Yasmin and Liya painted various colors of the rainbow in Galliano's shows, but that doesn't mean he is trying to mask their heritage or anything like that. It's fashion...anything goes...but this is all IMO :flower:

I'm actually going to have to agree. I don't think they were trying to make Elise look black and thus surpass using a black model but who knows. What editorial is this from? Is there a title to help put this scan in context?
