I would say there's a certain sensuality and sensitivity (as well as an enormous intelligence) that is fairly obvious in both cases, at least to me. Personally I like Elise a lot better, but I still see the resemblance.

I think most people can tell when people are just joking around or not, I don´t think anyone assumes she´s gay because they´ve seen her hugging some other model backstage or whatever.
