I am new here (signed up yesterday) . Been a long time follower of fashion & the fashion scene. Discovered this site recently. Seems to be a fabulous place. Anyway, the reason I was prompted to sign up: I really got the urge to contribute to this thread.
Like I said, have followed fashion for a long time. Have liked the look of many different models over the years. But no one (and I mean no one) has beguiled me the way Elise has. Those eyes...those lips...those......shoulders

.
So much is going on behind those eyes in nearly every photo or runway that you see with her. And her smile. Many models have "nice" smiles. But hers is one of the rare ones that can seriously light up a room. She seems really congenial & grounded as well. Not to mention that hot accent when she speaks in English. She's the total package.
Yes, she has quite a bit of uniqueness about her. But
everything unique about her just adds to her beauty, in my opinion. As to her atypical shoulders, her hilarious quote about them from that
Fashion File interview: "
...like a bulldozer going down the runway...". If she's a bulldozer, please god, let me be a big pile of dirt

.
Some favorite runway (& other) photos. Comments are after them:
(backstage, Carolina Herrera S/S 05 show)
The unrivaled smile

.
(Stella McCartney F/W 05 show)
So adorable. She is one of the very few models I've seen that can pull off a little grin or smile on the runway and not have it seem as though its a "hey, look at me!" move.
In contrast, it adds to her charm and also adds to how good the clothes she's modeling look on her. Her smile does not distract from the clothes (well, unless you are drawn to her face as I usually am

), as happens with many models who smile on the runway.
(Carolina Herrera S/S 05 show)
She got started modeling later than many do, but she looks just more and more incredible every year. Hopefully she can continue modeling for however long she likes (a privilege reserved for few), instead of the industry deciding.
And I think her red hair move for 2005 was a fabulous choice and looks gorgeous on her, even though there is nothing "wrong" with her native brown.
(Chloe F/W 04 show)
Speaking of her native hair color, an earlier show. Ultra cool. Her ear is just so cute! (think that's the first time I've ever said that phrase

).
(Jean Paul Gaultier S/S 05 show, which she opened!)
Had great trouble finding good quality shots of her from this show. For a better Shockwave Flash edition of her in this outfit she opened the show in--you can zoom in, woohoo!--head
here .
I wish designers would have her open--or close--more shows. Opening & closing lots of shows is the one fashion crowning achievement she has yet to attain, for some odd reason. Its a designer's (and the crowd's) loss, damn it...
("backstage" on the sidelines of the Narcisco Rodriguez F/W 05 show with Diana Dondoe and someone I don't recognize)
A photo that intrigues me. It is one of several photos like this out there. When she is in a photo with one or more other models (or other people) and not all are looking at the camera or the same offscreen object, the others in the photo usually have the tendency to look at her

.
(Vogue US March 2003 editorial shot from "She's Got Game". The
original on Bwgreyscale is gigantic in both dimensions & size, so I resized it here to save both dial-up & smaller screened forumers).
You think Elise can't be sexy? She dominates this photo, which is not the easiest thing in the world to do when sharing it with the likes of Natalia and Eugenia V.
For yet more in the "
You Think Elise Can't Be Sexy?" library,
check out this breathtaking video of her (that's been mentioned in this thread before) from Greg Kadel Studios. I was quite weak in the knees for a long time after viewing it.
OK OK, that's enough gushing. For now

. I hope she continues to have an absolutely fabulous modeling career. And that designers get past whatever it is they need to get past and start having her open & close more shows.
