yeah...ironic that it's where the victorian ruffs came from in the first place :lol: I must say I dearly love elizabethan clothing - I've made several elizabethan costumes myself, but I really prefer this more in it's own context...somehow I'm not sure how well I like it being translated into modern clothing. I mean it's beautiful, a bit of blackwork stitching here and there, or a bit of tapestry/embroidery... but it could very easily go wrong...

for inspiration's sake, here's one of the historical pieces I've made. (yes, ruff included!)

(btw, good trendspotting ella - to pick this out amongst the sea of victoriana was quite sharp-eyed)

that is very pretty ^^
