Elle France August 14, 2025 : Arizona Muse by Camilla Akrans

It’s nice, but Arizona Muse belongs back in 2012. She’s definitely not a model thar was missed
Do models have expiry dates?
Writing someone off because their peak was 2012 is a pretty narrow take to me because it makes it look like models have expiry date.
Arizona Muse bringing her look back isn’t a step backwards at all.

I absolutely agree with you. In addition, Arizona looks amazing and should be working more frequently!

I guess this is true if you thought she was a good model to begin with

Why? Women can’t age?
Serious question: was aging mentioned? why are we [women] automatically associated with aging? 🥲

Ngl, I see her and do think.. '2012 was a great year' lol, I'm immediately transported to her Wild Wild West story for i-D, the one she did for Vogue China with short hair and the statement necklaces that were all the rage back then. Same if I see Freja, I immediately think of 2008-2009, Coco Rocha=2006. Even Lara's work has that nostalgic element for me now. It's not that someone 'peaks', or shouldn't age or evolve, or that they should forever rot in a year, it's got more to do with how, when fashion obsesses over a model and they will use her in just about everything, over and over until there's an oversaturation and we start begging for a break (e.g. Trentini), once she's finally slowing down and enough time has passed, she WILL embody a year and, if she was lucky enough to comprehend more than that (e.g. Gisele, Gemma), an era.

I would have liked the cover to look warmer like the editorial photos, but it's a beautiful work for the last summer vibes.
