Elle France August 31, 2023 : Gisele Bündchen & Malika Louback by Chris Colls

While i like it…it’s a little short and too much full lenghts…or maybe it was edited not so good…But overall is a keeper…her 00’s Elle France special was so good too….

What’s with the shot of her sitting on that office stool? Damn, crop out the lever that raises it up and down! :tearsofjoy::rofllaughing:

It’s Elle. It’s fine. Anyway, I just received the March 1975 couture collections issue of Elle that I bought from eBay. Time to see how a collections issue is really done!

Where can I see this?

I don’t get the hate on Malika?? She’s stunning and always photographs well imo. Easily one of the best of her generation
100% agreed. she's stunning, a great model and a sweetheart. but maybe she isn't a superstar yet, like the title on the magazine says, but she can be one day. I like that they chose one established model and another one that can be an icon herself as well. I like to see girls working alongside known models, it's an opportunity for them to learn, to be seen, etc. also, her picture and isele's Miumiu cover are weird but I love the Alaia one!
Gisele's ed is phenomenal and I would just change her hair for a bit

Cherry on top is her runway walk

It’s almost unfair to have Malika…
Her story has the same esprit as the one from Gisele and I really enjoy the set but the dynamism in Gisele’s story is unmatched.

Maybe Malika’s story would have been stronger with a different photographer or concept.

This is probably my favorite Gisele’s story in a longtime. Those shots of her with her hair blowing are exquisite. Stunning with a capital S!

@caioherrero look at page 1 of this thread, there’s the link for the story.

No wonder the styling looked so familiar. Its by Ms. Geraldine.

The editorials seem much better when looking through the issue as a whole, with numerous articles building up to the two fashion stories, which are prefaced with a few pages of "photo albums" of the models. And all of it, from start to finish, has that laid-back French Elle feel. Around 240 pgs in my digital copy, plus a Printemps catalogue.

Gisele is great, but if I were to buy a print copy, I don't think I'd mind if I randomly got the Malika cover, it's something different.

Same old, same old, clean make up, eye covered by hair gimmick and 2 default hairstyles

She’s likely booked for a strict 1 hour — in and out while she goes through her signature routine poses. And admittedly, she does it impressively. This is the kind of shoot that junior photographers would look at and mimic for test shots: A little of this, a little of that. But no direction nor POV. And it’s rather hilarious that Chris Colls has made a career out of this. The Mario x Madonna for the Ray of Light session with the hair in her face are admittedly really good. Had this been for styled by and for Emmanuelle’s Vogue, and shot by David Sims, it would be something worthy to remember. AS it is, it's good enough. And along with Malika's— who unfortunately seems to be shot and styled as to ensure she can't outperform Gisele, this ELLE August weekly outshines that hideous Rafael mess that’s plaguing all the September Vogues.

That first cover is a hot mess not even sure how that got approved. I love Malika's cover and ed, its classic ELLE, Gisele's second cover is decent but they would have gotten a much better cover from that editorial.

As I've come to expect from Elle France, this has given me more than what every single edition of Vogue combined has given me over the past TWO months. This just reeks of fashion to me, oh so perfect for one of the magazine's 'spécial mode' issues. Throw in a model like Gisele and we have ourselves a real cause for celebration!

In love with it all, so many glorious photos. Malika Louback really is something special too...

A massive MASSIVE thank you, as always, to you @Zorka for providing us with the goodies. I am eternally grateful.
