I got excited reading the title then I was letdown seeing the cover. Not a fan of the pose nor Anja's expression. The second cover is OK, albeit forgettable. It's still OK but I expect more when the title says "Anja Rubik: Superstar". I'm sure there will be better shots in the editorial.

Because I've never been the biggest fan of Anja, this looks fine to me, although if I order a copy, I'll be hoping to get the first cover.

I don't expect French Elle to fill the high fashion gaps left by most Vogues failing to live up to their reputations, I just want a decent enough issue of a weekly mag to look through and keep around until it's time to declutter it.

But she's kind of a YSL muse/ambassador, so maybe this plays a part in her general work?

You don't need to be Naomi or Kate to have a different treatment. I don't know if she is demanding the make up and hair to be done in certain way but most of her magazine work are ambassador appearances in YSL paid advertorials so I am sure it gives her much more power than a regular model would have.

She is the best friend of the CD of YSL so seeing Anja on the cover of ELLE in Saint Laurent is as expected as seeing Mariacarla in Givenchy by Tisci back in the day or seeing Naomi in Alaia.

I think it’s a bit generic but I’m sure the content inside is good enough.
It’s maybe time to switch things up a little bit no? They needs to have someone else than Geraldine or maybe have a tandem between Geraldine and Hortense.

I wonder where they shot this…Morocco?
