“Spontaneity, femininity — all those things make the Ungaro woman interesting to me,” said Giles Deacon, talking about his first pre-fall collection for the French house. “It is a bit austere, pulled back, but strong and quite strict.” Therefore, structured, sharp and tailored pieces — including cashmere fitted coats, textured tweed shift dresses and bold graphic suits — comprised the daywear pieces, while for evening there were sexy minidresses with sequin and lace trimmings, as well as evening gowns with draped backs, worn with orange fox-fur stoles.

The cuts are lovely, noteably of the first skirt and the second black and third orange jackets.
Unfortunately the sinking top-stitching on the soft fabric and the childish chunkiness evokes recent Miu Miu quite a bit, especially in the orange, though the buttons (if they aren't teddy bear eyes, like they look) add a splash of maturity.
I'd like to see the satin dress without the fur wrap.

Jesus christ, those outfits with orange fur are so ugly it hurts

meh i think someone's over reacting. the third jacket makes me think of a longer version of that Miu Miu that was all over last season.

Oh this got me interested. I really wanna see the rest of the collection now. I actually love the orange fur, it's much more Ungaro than a lot of the recent collections.

That minidress is VERY sexy! :woot:
The fur coats are just vile though

Im not a fan of the orange fur, but I like everything else. Its a very feminine collection. The tailoring is beautiful, the brown jacket and slacks are the best peices.

I think the outfits with the fur would look 100X better if it weren't for the orange color

^ That's always sort of the problem with me for Ungaro, the color choices are SO wrong.
