Emily DiDonato

her agency got her the Maybelline contract and she should ditch them? umm not a good idea IMo. she should stay there for a couple of years then maybe could go to Next or Women.

I'd say her agency hasn't done her wrong yet, after all it's the agency that gets the model all of the work, right? And she's done Maybelline, Guess, Kensie, soon to be VS, and I know I'm forgetting a few others.

That doesn't mean anything, every agency has to make the best for their models, it was not her agent that necessarily got her the contract for Maybelline, the fact she's fantastic looking is what made her got the contract ... she would get the contract anyway, it's not that her agency helped that much, if you get what I mean ... she will eventually switch agencies & go to a major like DNA, Women or IMG ... it's how it's going to be judging by the fact her career is rising right now ... you see the board at Request Models & she's far better model than any other model there, so she doesn't really belong to an agency like that. It's like a very good football player that has started his career in a weak team & everybody else in the team is way behind him, he has got potential to move to a better team & that will eventually happen ... same thing applies to this.

It's too soon. she hasn't even done much to jump ship yet. It's not her career is in a slump or stalling.
And there are plenty of beautiful girls that don'tget such oppurtunities. I believe her agency has A LOT to do with her getting great work.

It's not too soon at all, she's 18 & is already in a level that most of models at her age would give anything to be, she's more than ready to go to an agency that can make her career much more successful than is at the moment ... she won't last that much time in that agency, trust me.

i agree with Filipe that she is more than ready but she said she wants start college very soon. if this is true i don't think she will have this huge career as everyone is thinking. if she really goes to college i think she might stick with request

^ Not getting why she wants to go to college right away, some models take a break for a year, some take more than a year & some others even don't even want to go to college ...
Maybe she can go to college & work as well, won't be working at "full-time" but she will be working anyway.

she surely can work and go to college at same time :flower:
i just said she might not have this huge career as everyone is thinking because she won't be able to be full time model

There are some models who do schooling though it's very tough with their schedules. That's why they take a break from modeling but Emily doesn't look like the type that wants to stop right now, especially when fashion week is coming up.

Request is doing fine for Emily. They do book commercial stuff for her but she's only been modeling for over 8 months! She seems content with her agency which is mostly a mens focused, but they've been paying a lot of attention towards her.

I agree that she should be placed with agencies like DNA or Women and internationally too.

She could always enroll part-time. Or as filipe mentioned take a year or two off to focus on her career. Although I imagine it to be very difficult to go back to school after being immersed in the modeling world for a few years.

And I didn't know that the agency she is signed with is mens focused. They've definitely done a good job with her. I think in time she will move onto a bigger agency like the aforementioned ones but I do agree that I don't see her jumping ship anytime soon.

Yes ReQuest is mostly focused on their male models since they have people like Cole Mohr on their boards.

Emily's their top golden girl since she's booking jobs that have given her success and last season, she was the only girl to be included in their showcard package for FW09 season.

Guess, then Maybelline cosmetics contract, then now reportedly VS. Request is doing a great job making Emily (and Request...) lots of $$$.. I don't see a reason for her to jump ship at the moment. Sure Request doesn't have the editorial/high-fashion cachet that DNA/Women/NEXT/IMG have, but they are doing a good job at what they do. And who knows.. maybe Emily will be the one to change the image of Request's women's division, she certainly has already put them on the map.. and they certainly believe in her. I am just hoping they are able to place her with great agencies abroad so she can take her career to the next level.

And if she wants to go to school, then good for her, she is 18, that is when everyone else starts college in the states and she has the cosmetics contract to keep her wallet full, she has the choice to continue modeling and go to school at the same time.. not many girls have the financial stability to make that choice.. esp. 8 months into modeling. She is very lucku and is doing a great job.. wish her the best :flower:

I don't see why she needs to drop ReQuest... they've proven they're capable so far, it's not like she's lost out on major contracts because of bad agency decisions. And maybe she likes their boutique style. It's easy for girls to get lost in the shuffle and I bet ReQuest is giving her tons of attention right now.

Anyway, most models work because they want money, not high fashion prestige (although that is nice and can lead to money after a while). Based on all the commercial stuff they have gotten her, ReQuest seems to be doing fine for her in that aspect.

I agree with Charlotte and Caroliine. It still makes no sense to me, why she would leave the agency this soon.
Eventually she could leave but right now is premature.

I also commend her for thinking about her education cause when she's old and wrinkly her degree will be the one getting her money. Besides fashion modelling is a very fickle world.

^ I don't think she will leave the agency soon ... but it won't take that much time either ... what does matters if Request is doing a good job or not, they aren't some special agency, they are doing what they have to & what every agency does, I don't get what's special about them.

Like I said she doesn't belong to that agency, she will sooner or later switch to an agency that can provide her a much better service to make her even more successful.

Ok I get it, you think she should and will leave and I think it's too soon. I think we should stop here cause this is going nowhere.

Anyways I am really looking forward to her at fashion week and wonder if she will be an exclusive. I think she might do well in Milan, there is something quite Bianca Balti about her.
