Emina Cunmulaj

^ As if her ethicity matters right?. I really expected her to get Valentino since she opened and closed the show but too bad. Maybe better luck next season!.

^Agreed! And yes, I'm also so sad about Valentino, despite the fact that another one of my favorites got the campaign (Gemma)...:( Emina seemed perfect for the FW collection.

I'm actually amazed that she has never been in a Cavalli campaign. Her strong look seems to fit so well with that brand especially this season.

I have just realised that this thread has reached the 1000th post mark :woot:
Go Emina... B)

^Haha, I was just answering the question! I just think it's always good to get facts straight, that's all ^_^

Here're her own words from the 2004 MDC interview:

(After being born in Michigan)
My parents moved us to Yugoslavia when I was 4 years old and I lived there until I was 16. I then moved back to the US and have been here for 2 years.

I think it's fantastic that she seems to have strong ties with her heritage, since as a Chinese-American immigrant I feel the same way about my ethnic background...But ultimately, it doesn't matter what her citizenship or heritage is -- one is not "better" or more "superior" than another, and whatever she is doesn't make her a better or worse person. She brings diversity to the modeling industry, and that's what's most important :flower:

1. She was born in the US, which automatically grants her U.S. citizenship
2. She's 100% Albanian by heritage
^No one's disputing either of those facts.

Hi, I just wanted to say that Im so proud of her because shes from the exactly same little town in Seria as I am, Novi Pazar! But its a albanian provinve, not serbian.

^That's so cool! :D How many live in your town? She might be a household name...^_^

Funny thing is, shes not from Novi Pazar, she actually lived on the outskirts of Podgorica (the capital of Montenegro)

To me, all that matters is she lived in NJ. Although she was not born here, she still makes me prouder of being from New Jersey!

You're absolutely right and this is what i meant, i just thought some of you didn't think she was albanian or whatever and I wanted to put that straight, you know.
