While on a shopping trip to London, dewy-faced 18-year-old Emma Mclaren came by the Vogue offices to see us. Taking refuge from the whirlwind cities of Paris and Milan, Emma finds sanctuary at home in Worchester with her mum (we agree, no amount of Champagne and Hôtel Costes appetizers are a match for a mother’s home baking!). Having just completed her third season of catwalk shows (including gigs for Dior, John Galliano, Bottega Veneta, Hussein Chalayan, Emporio Armani, Etro, Donna Karan, Lacoste, Paul Smith, Issa London and Nicole Farhi – phew!), you'll also be able to spot her as the new face of the Burberry Brit fragrance, recently shot by British legend David Sims.

I'm really happy she snagged the Burberry Brit campaign. The ads themselves could be more exciting, but Emma looks great in them (I especially like the solo shot) and it's a big deal for her!

Goodness, she is quite the beauty. It's a pity we don't see more of her in print and on the runways. I was so sure her career would get bigger after last season's Bottega ads too.
