Just rewatched "Crazy Stupid Love" and O.M.G. - she is PERFECT in that film. Why didn't she get an Oscar nod for that? She totally makes the film imo. (Or even for "Easy A"?)

And frankly, she and Ryan Gosling are made for each other; could they be cuter together? No. I think not.

Anyhow...

Well, Jennifer Lawrence won for Silver Linings Playbook, and Marisa Tomei won for My Cousin Vinny - - so on that evidence, I'd have to say NO! Definitely Emma could've been nominated best supporting for Crazy, Stupid Love. Were it not for her, that movie wouldn't've been HALF as good. In my humble opinion.

She was brilliant in Easy A but she wasn't as good in CSL. She was out shined by Marisa, Ryan, Julianne and Steve and she had no romantic chemistry with Ryan at all. I think Ryan and Steve had more chemistry with one another than Ryan and her did. In my opinion, she's so much better than the thankless girlfriend role, she's meant to be the leading lady! That is why she was so amazing in Easy A.

^ Disagree re: CSL - for me, the movie was going nowhere fast; it was so sexist and cliche, and then Emma breezed in and she made it so funny and she humanized the Gosling character, and from that point in the film, I enjoyed it all so much more. She was a scene stealer. Love her in that movie. But she was awesome in Easy A, too.
