It's not a remake. It's a reboot. I never quite get why people call it a remake. Sam Raimi didn't create Spiderman, did he? No one ever complains about Batman being rebooted. It's another adaptation--or interpretation of the comic books.
^Yeah, but before Christopher Nolan re-booted Batman...the last Batman film came out in 1997. And most of the other Batman films, with the exception of Tim Burton's versions pretty much sucked.
The last film in the previous Spiderman series was released in 2007. And the majority of the films (1 and 2) were actually really good. So, I don't get it.
I'm happy for Emma and Andrew though. This new re-boot will probably give them more exposure.
I kind of think Tom Hardy is a little overrated. Not getting the appeal there from what I've seen (though I liked him in Bronson). I prefer all of the other nominees, but I think Hardy will get it.
