Emma Stone

I thought she looked stunning. Very fresh and glowing. Loved the makeup and hair.

I cant get used to the platinum hair and ubertan on her but that being said I really like the dress, beautiful color and cut, modern and sexy.

But you say it like it's a bad thing?

Wait, what? When did I say it was a bad thing?

It's a good thing. A GREAT thing. She's the hot young actress on the scene, it's genius that she's taking this opportunity to show off her style, take risks with fashion, wow everyone. That's what EVERY young actress should be doing. Alas, some, like Mila Kunis ( :( ) have decided instead to go the boring, safe, mature route. It's like they don't realize the possibilities that come with being a fashion 'icon'.

i think she looked beautiful....i love the dress color....and i dont really think her tan looks that orange
i dunno why everyone is ripping into her
i think she really looked lovely

But not every actresses want (should) be a fashion icon, some like to let the work "speak" for itself. We should ask Camilla Belle or Kate Bosworth if being "it girls" helped their ACTING careers...:innocent:

I love this on her, I think the tan is a bit too much but I really love that she is experimenting with lots of different designers and not afraid to take risks.

i don't think most of people have problem with her dress, but her face is like the opposite of what you are saying. if you want to be taken seriously you don't go around with orange face. look at Kim Basinger, Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep, Jodie Foster....

I have not seen Emma Stone in anything (movies-wise), but she looked STRIKING last night. It made me curious about her... the entire look and how she carried herself. Wow.

Lol we actually agree. My post was an answer to MyNameIs post(#524) about "the possibilities that come with being a fashion 'icon'."

I don't remember either one of them being nominated for a Golden Globe? Being a fashion icon will only take you so far, then you need to be able to back it up with some acting chops.

Yes! I'm surprised it has been pointed out more. She really reminds me of Lohan...I also think her look was a huge miss at the GG. The dress is chic and plain and simple but with the almost frosted make-up, light blonde hair and weirdly matching tan/dress it all looked wrong imo

there is definetly Lohan resemblance - someone even said she is what Lohan was supposed to be but we all know how that turned out ... anyways she dyed her hair for the role in spiderman movie actually and i think she is no way Lindsay because she is even more talented and grounded + she was never a "childstar"

I mean love her, i think she is hilarious and smart, she looked awesome at the gg though i agree the tan could be little more subtle

She looked amazing at the Critics Choice Awards. Like, seriously stunning. The Golden Globes? Not so much.:ninja:

The girl is growing on me. I really disliked her in Zombieland (though I loved her look) but hopefully Spider-Man will change that. I hope.

Yeah I actually meant the other way round. I don't think everyone wants to be a fashion icon either.

This is terrible, but...

Her look last night reminded me so much of Lindsay Lohan circa 2005, when she dyed her hair blonde for the first time after the Mean girls success.

Isn't the tan for a role? Spiderman? Not much she can do...Just sayin.

She's my girl crush at the moment. She's a fantastic actress imo. I like her better with auburn hair; the blonde makes her look totally different.

she´s a natural blonde but what shade? anyone has a pic?

Why do people not like this look? I think she looks amazing.
It's very simplistic, but in a good way.
The color looks spectacular on her.
And I think the tan is much more toned down than it was at the CCAs.
She looked great.
