Emma made an appearance at the Marks & Spencer store in Oxford only hours ago. this is a report made by Jo, the webmiss of emma-watson.net.
Greetings!! I have just got back from Emma's appearence in London's Marks and Spencers store and here is my report and pictures of the day!
After meeting with a few of my buddies (some i have met before and some I hadn't) we queued up in the childrens department of the store where Emma was due to come out at 12:00 noon. Hunders and hundreds of people were there, pushing and shoving each other to get ot the front. Fortunately for me a kind man asked me if i wanted to go in front of him (which obviously i did!) meaning i got a place at the front of the very feeble barriers.
Around 12:30 Emma came out and stood on the little plaiform they put up for her to have her photos taken with 2 little children (very cute!) but then..trouble started! .. Emma took a pen to sign an autograph and everyone just ran forward thus crushing all the people (lots of small children) at the front! Emma got incredibly scared, it looked very much like she had tears in her eyes and with her mum, some WB reps and some security she was quickly ushered away. We were told that Emma would only come back out if everyone did not push!! - everyone was wound up and a few arguments about pushing were going off between a few of the crowd members. It was then announced that Emma would be coming back but she was incredibly scared for the safety of the people in the crowd and only wanted to come back out should it be safe.
Emma re-appeared there was some mild pushing which was controlled by security, she went around to as many people as she could signing autographs and receiving messgaes and gifts, many other people (especialy of her age) would have gone home after seeing something like that, but it was awesome that she came back out as we were told she wanted to meet us all. When Emma got to me i got a few nice pics and i was about to talk to her but some evil man from a few rows back completely obstucted me from her with his poster by shoving it in her face! - by the time i wrestled his poster out of the way Emma had sort of gone past speaking distance from me..but she was very sweet to everyone.
i also have a couple of pics from mugglenet.
