Cute picture of her with Alberta! I swear sometimes Emma looks so short and then at other times, she looks at least 5'7" or 5'8". Or maybe Alberta is just short?

I love the dress Emma's wearing in that picture! It's so cute.
I wish I could see the whole thing.

Hi everyone

As you know, I love Brown and I love studying pretty much more than anything but recently I've had so much to juggle that being a student AND fulfilling my other commitments has become a little impossible.

I've decided to take a bit of time off to completely finish my work on Harry Potter (the last one comes out this summer) and to focus on my other professional and acting projects. I will still be working towards my degree... it’s just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought : )

Hope you are all well! Thank you for all your continuing support.

I think it's a smart, healthy move on her part.
She's got way too many projects going on right now and coming up this year,
so she doesn't really have the time to focus on school.
I'm sure this was a hard decision for her, but like she said, she will start working on her degree again in a semester or two.
College students take breaks all the time (I know from experience).

oh wow, must say i'm suprised. of all the things, i'd expect her to insist on getting the degree first (judging from the "insight" we got of her during all these years). guess all that promotion and side work has gotten impossible to juggle with her schooling. oh well, hope she manages to get everything she wants!

I think school is still her priority, but it's a commitment that's more flexible than her other filming/promotion/fashion projects.
With all the others there is a certain deadline/time-frame that she's committed to honor.

It's smart for her to take a break right now, because then she will be able to commit 100% to everything.

i'd say it turned out the other way around as it seems her uni duties weren't fulfilled as needed (hence it having less flexible timeframe), i mean, there will always be movies to film (not to mention having a possibility for her working on her acting skills during the uni period). guess she wanted to take up on all of the pounce after HP movies...

hope it doesn't go Olsens way...well i'm certain it won't, it's Emma we're talking about here...

however when it comes to Potter, Perks of Being a Wallflower, My Week With Marilyn, Alberta Ferretti, and her other projects.
Those things have set dates and times.

i'm sure it wasn't an easy decision for her, in her case it shows how serious she is about Uni, since she wants to give it 100% and not juggle so many things and only study on the side, so good for her

I'm sure it'S totally difficult to juggle studies and a career like she has - that's why I have even more respect for Natalie Portman who actually finished her studies at University as I believe that there have been a few actors or actresses starting to study but stopping or pausing and ultimately never finishing...hope Emma will really be able and have the strength to continue because I do not believe that the demand for her will get less, quite the opposite I can imagine that she will be more and more sought after for movies, fashion etc. in the future...we'll see what path she'll choose...I think it's always a decision they have to make and to cut something short - you can't have both 100%...you either pause more or less and cut back your projects to study or you stop studying and focus on your projects...

Dan may not be able to do a lot of promotion for DH2 so it may be possible that she could have to do more promotion for DH2.. Filiming for Perks has been brought forward to May 10 instead of June as first announced.. So that could all also play a factor into her not being able to go back to Brown as of now.. I think she would finish her studies though..

They moved Perk's filming up? That's interesting. I wonder why considering they haven't cast anyone else, but Emma and Logan.

Maybe they're trying to avoid it conflicting with DH promotion or something?
Perks is an Indie movie, so I doubt it will shoot too long.

I certainly don't blame her for taking time off. I myself have taken a total of 3 semesters off. (Though my work schedule is absolutely nothing like hers. lol)

that's true! besides emma and natalie I have lots of respect for james franco who managed to attend 2 or 3 unis at the same time AND filming movies at the same time. I wouldn't be able to handle the stress...
