Emma Watson

Thanks for the Outtakes from the Marie Claire 2010!!
Her hair looks super short!
And she looks gorgeous!

I read she wasn't so great in the Marilyn movie - unfortunately, since it's being compared to "The King's Speech", that is Oscar bait. Would have been good for Emma to be in other successful projects than HP.

^Where did you read that at? I'm really interested in this film, because the cast is so great, so I've read most of the reviews. Most of them don't mention Emma, but the ones that do all say the same thing: she was underused, but convincing in her small role.

The film as a whole is getting a lot mixed reviews though. Some critics dislike Michelle, others love her. Some strongly dislike the directing/screenplay, but love all the performances, etc.

in general, apart from Michelle's performance, the reviews of the movie were mixed. if it doesn't go too well on the boxoffice it won't go for Oscar nom (apart from the locked nom Michelle now has) IMO and yeah, Emma got real bad reviews from the ones i've read. i'm suprised actually cus it didn't seem that way from the trailer.

EDIT: here are the ones i've read on ONTD:
..That said, Williams is a revelation and brings a much-needed darkness to "My Week with Marilyn." She isn't the spitting image of Monroe, but she manages to inhabit her shades without overdoing the coquettishness or underplaying the tragic vulnerability. Among a high-profile British cast -- the solid (Kenneth Branagh, Judi Dench) and the not-so-solid (Emma Watson, we wish you were better!) -- Williams is clearly the best thing about this movie, and a shoe-in for an Oscar nomination.
Based on the diaries of Colin Clark, 'My Week With Marilyn' is a coming-of-age story masked as a biopic. Or a biopic masked as a coming-of-age story. In 1956, at the ripe age of "nearly 24," Clark (Eddie Redmayne) leaves home to work as a third assistant director on the set of 'The Princess and the Showgirl' with Sir Laurence Olivier (Kenneth Branagh) and Marilyn Monroe (Williams). Over the course of the shoot -- which Monroe extends beyond the norms because of her devotion to the Method style of acting championed by Lee and Paula Strasberg -- Clark and the world's most famous leading lady fall into a complicated relationship of love and need, much to the consternation of Olivier, Marilyn's main handler Milton Greene (Dominic Cooper, in full Howard Stark mode) and Colin's maybe-girlfriend Lucy (Emma Watson, Hermione'ing it up). Colin's in over his head with Marilyn, but the pull of her come-hither winks and little-girl-lost persona is too much for any man to stand. At least that's what the film tells us. Repeatedly. Like 'The King's Speech,' this is a "tell, don't show" production: through needless voiceover and heavy-handed dialogue, 'My Week With Marilyn' hammers home its slight points -- that Colin will get his heart broken; that Monroe is playing a part and unable to escape, even if she wants to -- in a way that recalls an HBO telefilm. Thank goodness then for the performances.

reviews came from Huffingtonpost and Moviefone.

^Yep, the first one was what I read. It spoke quite well of the movie as a whole though, talking about Oscar etc.

^The original source is Moviefone, as dajrekshn pointed out

I think the only bad ones were the ones dajrekshn posted, the rest were positive or didn't mention her:

Emma Watson, of “Harry Potter” fame, has a small but convincing role as the girl Colin (Eddie) toys with while the movie is being made.

despite a much more pretty girl more suited for him (an underused Emma Watson).

Colin begins dating Lucy (an underused Emma Watson), who works in wardrobe.

People thought she and Eddie Redmayne had chemistry and played off each other well..

yeah, i've only read the ones posted on ONTD, it's a split review i guess. either way, am glad it wasn't negative all around cus, as i've said, i had a different impression from the trailer. :)

The reviews are pretty much mixed regarding MWWM in both the storyline and the acting.. I think the only people who got good reviews all around are Judi Dench and Kenneth Branagh.. :)

^I read one review that said Kenneth Branagh was miscast. But I'm just going to save my judgement until I see this film. It seems like one of those that no one can completely agree on.

In regards to the two reviews, dajrekshn posted...I saw those, but they didn't seem negative to me.

Doesn't really matter. Had it been good reviews, then great but otherwise whateves. It wasn't a big role anyway. However, hoping for the best for Perks.

From the shooting pics, the Trésor campaign looked promising but I have to say the adverts etc look like crap. It's everywhere now and I can't get over how bad it is.

She updated her website with a short message and photo

To Everyone who is starting a New School Year, (sorry those who have been at school for a while Oxford starts late)

She was also spotted at a restaurant on Friday, she was apparently wearing a dress with a Peter Pan collar with a yellow sweater..
