Emma Watson

she has one semester left? i started at the same time at her, didn't take any breaks and i still have a year left for my 4 year degree. she has powers

and that last shot is stunning. i love her in that style

Did anyone else find the article/interview with Emma a bit condescending? Honestly, I don't give a fig about the author's viewpoints on Emma's acting or whatever. A journalist is meant to dig up something about the person they are interviewing and I really don't feel like I learned anything that new about Emma. All of it seemed like pretty basic stuff you could find on a quick search through Google. A bit disappointed with the interview but I'm pleased with the magazine cover and editorial. They are some really gorgeous pictures.

Did she start in 2010? I began studying 4 years ago (2008) and I still have 3 semesters to finish but I'm not familiar with UK education system

Yeah, I don't know how she pulled that. I'm not familiar with the UK education system either, but I know over here in America, you can rack up a lot of credits/hours, and my senior year in order to graduate on time, I had to take like 19 hrs in the fall and 21 in the spring. But unless she had a butt load of independent studies, I really don't see how she could've gone in when she did and only have a semester left. I don't know.

isn't there a possibility it's 3 years for a BA and 2 more for an MA? some majors take 3 and some take 4 years to get a BA in them, no (history and literature are 3 year BAs in my country)? this would fit the time frame, if she's only now completing the BA degree. she's a generation younger than me, and i just completed my MA, so next to her semester long pause she took in 2011 and another one she just announced she was taking (going back in january 2013 instead of sept) it's that extra year, no?

those T pics are good, i like the B/W ones. :)

She probably had credits from her GCSEs or A-levels or whatever, like how the AP system gives you credits for college in the US. Or she might have done a LOT of independent study whilst filming. Otherwise there is no way she could have pulled that off.

Yeah she said in an interview around the time she announced that she was gonna take a semester off that her A-levels gave her additional college credits which placed her almost a year ahead. So when she first started at Brown, she technically had enough credits to be considered a Sophomore. And she just finished studying abroad at Oxford so she probably got some additional credits there as well.

^Don't know.. But she mentioned before that she was doing History and/or Literature..

Yes, there was something a bit off with the interviewer. Its like he was trying not to fawn on her but then it comes out as just off. I think there were new stuff in the interview. For one, her studies where it was mentioned she only have one semester left instead of the year that people thought. And another new thing was the Beauty news where it was the first time she talked about it and gave a timeline for filming, next summer.

Darn, I go to Brown and was hoping to see her there in the fall

She's rumoured to go back in the January semester. You still have a chance to see her. She's spotted in bookshops and seems to like Duck and Bunny.

This article is based on info revealed in the Times article, but I still thought it was interesting. The Times article is so long, that this part is easy to overlook. I wasn't aware that Emma personally went to Guillermo del Toro and asked him to direct Beauty and the Beast. That's pretty awesome.

'Emma Watson reveals her one condition for starring in ‘Beauty and the Beast’

emmawatson.jpg

Hermione Granger actress Emma Watson has been interviewed by The New York Times, and within the article are a few interesting tidbits from Watson about her future acting plans.

Most notable are her comments on why she wanted to join Guillermo Del Toro’s Beauty and the Beast, which she’ll star in as Belle. The news was first reported in February.

Said Watson: “I’m doing a film with Guillermo [del Toro] next summer, and I went to him and said Warner Brothers have given me the script for ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ but the only way I’d really want to do it is if you did it. And then miraculously he said, ‘Oh, funnily enough ‘Beauty and the Beast’ is my favorite fairy tale, I can’t let anyone else do this, I’ll start putting a team together.’ ”

Sounds like a match made in heaven! We’re excited to see this classic fairytale come to life. No word yet on who will play the Beast.

Watson can next be seen in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, out in September.

She just continues to prove why I'm a fan of hers. Love her.

Had really a fun week making music with @EmWatson and @BenHammersley93 http://instagr.am/p/Og9ABEIhEk/

Emma is in Iceland now for Noah filming. Olafur Arnalds is a musician in Iceland. Ben Hammersley is a musician friend of Emma from Oxford. Olafur Arnalds teased a couple of days back that he and Emma may be working on something music-wise:

Watson has actively reported on her experiences in Iceland via Twitter and recently declared her love for Icelandic music, the hipster band Of Monsters and Men and soloists Ólafur Arnalds and Sóley.

A few days after her tweet, Watson and Ólafur had dinner together where they discussed possible collaboration. Ólafur told RÚV that some things may be in the pipelines but plans are at a sensitive stage and so he would not comment on any details.

I'm not sure I'm entirely correct but there are no duckface photos of Emma out, are there?

Lol. That's a random question. But the only pictures I've seen of Emma "duck facing" are in pics with friends and she's clearly joking around. Like in the photo booth pics with Tom Hiddleston--I think there was a duckface in there.
