Derek posted that Emma and him signed up to deliver hot meals for CityMeals on both Monday and Tuesday..

A blind item website posted this on 2 November:

This little blurb comes from a reader in New York City. Despite all that has gone on in new York this week there were still kids who wanted to go trick or treating and to wear their costumes. One five year old boy wore his costume and probably won't have any idea of what happened to him until he gets much older.

I will let the reader tell the story.

I wanted to tell you a nice celeb story about what happened to me last night while I was trick or treating with my kids and some friends of theirs.

One of the kids in the group, a five year old boy, was dressed up as Harry Potter, complete with matted hair, glasses, wand, etc. We were walking on East 78th Street which is a popular Halloween spot for NYC kids since all the town houses and apartments on the blocks between Park and 3rd Avenue go all out decorating for the holiday and load them up with candy.

Anyway amid the madness, the boy was walking along the street when a young woman came up to him and said, "Excuse me, are you Harry Potter?" After he mumbled out a yes, she said, "That's great, because I'm Hermonie Granger and we're best of friends" and she gave him a big hug.

Of course the boy was too young to realize that it was indeed Emma Watson, who couldn't have been nicer.

And it turns out there was a photo of that moment where Emma went up to the boy:

^There are a lot of "AWWWWWW" moments going on in that last post. It's great to hear that Emma's doing her part to help out with the hurricane relief. And I love that HP Halloween story, that kid get's bragging rights, for like, ever.

aaw, that Halloween story is so cute:heart:

great that she helped, she seems like such a nice person

That story is SO cute!! It's nice to see new generations getting into Harry Potter as well. :)

It's also wonderful that Emma and Derek helped City Meals deliver food to Hurricane victims. Awesome! As if I needed another reason to adore her.

I haven't visited this thread since Instagram became popular and I have to say the experience is very different now.

oh wow, she looks great with the longer hair here! Hope her contract goes on for a while.

Gosh! They're still filming that movie? I know the hurricane held them up, but it seems like its been filming forever. I guess it is a big budget film though and Aronofsky is a bit of a perfectionist. Emma looks great!

^I know right!? I'm really loving her bob, especially when it's kinda messy/wavy like that.. makes me want to cut mine..

She said recently that she really wants to cut it pixie length again, but she's gonna keep it longer for movie roles right now. But I won't be surprised if she chops it within the next two years or whenever she wraps "Beauty and the Beast" and "Your Voice in my Head."
