emma was such a snotty little kid when she was younger. thankfully she grew out of it (She's so endearing and ladylike now). I would be raising my eyebrows if this behaviour came from a 17 year old teenager!

I don't see what the hype is about.

I'm not sure there would be much hype about Dan, Emma and Rupert except for the fact that the last book is coming out next week and the fifth movie was timed to closely coincide with the book release. The hype surrounding the stars seems to me to be part of the money making machine that is mainstream publishing and movie production. That said I'm still interested in the three of them because they are new and not yet part of the tabloid new machine.

i get upset when people say that their careers will be over after Harry Potter is done. you clearly don't know about all of the other projects they've been working on. i can't speak for Emma when i say this, but Dan and Rupert both have been working on other movies. i'm sure Emma's not far behind since she's been offered other roles. she just needs to take a risk.

I think the main reason she was picked to play Hermione was because she came off as so cocksure of herself. Hermione's role in the first movie didn't call for a lot of acting skills. She's just being herself in the movies, and I guess you can't really blame her too much, because she got picked for the movies because of who she was (snobby and stuck-up). That's why she said so herself once that she didn't really she belonged in acting because she had never had any proper lessons. She at least knows she doesn't really have what it takes.
