the looks is VERY much like how Carolina Herrera dresses, which is probably why it reads matronly. I think a more bright or playful lip color could have helped. Otherwise I think it is super classy, perfect for a stiff-up-lip brit party

I really don't think it looks matronly. On the contrary. It is a great balance between edgy (accessories), classic outfit with a twist. I love the make up, and the air. A 10/10 in my book. So happy she ditched the printed mini and has been experimenting in a good way this past year !
