What: UN Women, the United Nations entity dedicated to achieving gender equality and women’s empowerment, will unveil HeForShe’s new pilot initiative, to galvanize momentum in advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment. The new campaign IMPACT 10X10X10 is a one-year pilot effort that aims to engage governments, corporations and universities as instruments of change positioned within some of the communities that most need to address deficiencies in women’s empowerment and gender equality.
Top global leaders who will serve as founding Champions of the effort will be present to speak about the initiative and take questions from media. After the press conference, a panel event will take place for invited guests.

Emma Watson has closed a deal to play Belle in Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast, JustJared.com can confirm!
The 24-year-old actress will be directed by Bill Condon (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Dreamgirls) in a script written by Stephen Chbosky, who directed her in his The Perks of Being a Wallflower film adaptation.
Emma had previously been courted by Guillermo del Toro to star in his Beauty, but the project was scrapped and the director gave his blessing to Disney to cast her in their film, according to TheWrap
