Eric Bana showed off his newly shaved head on yesterday’s The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.

The Aussie stud admitted he’s bald is for his upcoming villainous role in the new J.J. Abrams-directed Star Trek movie. Bana, 39, will play the role of the evil Nero.

“It’s a really well-written script, great part,” Bana has said. “Couldn’t say no.”

Watch Eric’s appearance on Leno here: Part I and Part II. And yes, Bana’s bald look emphasizes his huge ears. But they are sexy huge ears, no?

Bana’s latest period piece The Other Boleyn Girl, costarring Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johansson, opens this Friday, Feb. 29.
