They are soooooooooo comfortable
I have had 2 pairs I have lived in this summer.
I love wearing maxi dresses and having them peek out at the bottom.
I love when fashion can be comfortable
these are a french classic...
but this season seems to be another big one for espadrilles...
they come in all shapes now...
and from every brand and every pricepoint...
i'm loving it cause they are so comfy!!
i've got a gorgeous pair of woven straw wedges that wrap up the ankle in natural and ivory from jil sander ...
a denim wedge sandal from old navy...
a grey peep toe slingback wedge with a raffia pom pom from andre assous...
and now a black peeptoe slingback wedge
i've never had a flat pair but i am starting to think about them for the first time this season...
they are really inexpensive and remind me of my mom in the 70's...
it's a very retro european look, and i think i'm diggin it!...
I love love love espadrille wedges, but my cobbler shakes his head at why on earth I keep buying them and then come crying on his shoulder after they break down in a few weeks. A 15 euro one I got in an unknown village in Andalucia, even a pair from H&M lasted daily wear for two seasons, whereas a few pairs costing almost a 100 euros lasted only a few wears and could not be repaired.
There's no telling how they'll hold up.
Like bad boyfriends...
I still want some for this summer.
Espadrilles, I mean .
But I've learned not to pay more than 20 euros, no matter how gorgeous. No commitment from you, none from me.
