Etro Mens F/W 08.09 Milan

Wow! That`s all I can say right now. I`ve always found Etro menswear a little too much over the top and although Kean Etro has again lost his mind over some green issues (chewing Rosemary, onion- and pear-prints???), I think this is one of the best collections so far.

Wearable, and simply elegant!

Very classic italian menswear (although not to my taste). Nicer than usual though.
Best thought of as items not a total look collection.

The colors are definitely over the top in the ensemble but some of the pieces look eminently wearable. If I can ever pull off some of these seizure-causing color combinations, I would.

Too many prints for me, and I'm done with the whole velvet blazer thing, but I love the dandy styling!

Im not sure of the fruit prints but ... I mean ... I cnat help .. its SO me!

Etro always does its best on Fall imho ... and I adore it all ... even the styling ... smiling models .. yay! I mean .. the textures and colours ... rich rich colours ... love it!

PS Whats up with the velvet jacket bashing? Even Tom did them for Gucci!

I really like this collection especially since I'm looking through all of the men's f/w 08 collections and most of them have been quite boring to me and don't even merrit a response/post. It's great to see some color and some prints especially since my favorite label Versace has started to take on a minimalist image.

Oh Etro!

I swear this line drives me absolutely crazy. I feel like Charlie Brown and Kean is Lucy holding the football. Season after season I keep telling myself that he's on the verge of a huge break though but he never quite gets there.

Anyway I do like the collection and I love seeing men in color. I just feel like there is so much more he can do. Maybe I'm crazy.
