“I’m 20 years old and I’m from Almaty. That’s in Kazakhstan, Russia. At the age of 5 we moved to south-east Germany and that’s where I grew up. I’ve been living in Hamburg for the last 7 months and I think it’s a lovely city”.
1. Recent projects and campaigns.
My most recent campaigns were for Armani, Cacharel and Pull and Bear; my latest catwalk shows were Dsquared2 and Byblos and recent magazine features include one for Vogue China, another for Metal magazine and one for Arena.
2. Magazines you’ve worked for.
V Magazine, Flair, 10 Magazine, Numero, Dazed & Confused, Arena, Pop, Citizen K, I-D Magazine, Crash and lots more.
3. How do you spend your free time? What are your hobbies?
I love partying, playing poker, climbing and swimming too. In Germany I worked as a lifeguard for 11 years at a swimming club.
4. The latest film that made a positive impression on you.
I just adore “The Fight Club”? starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton. And I really like “The Butterfly Effect”? with Ashton Kutcher too.
5. What do you love and hate about your profession?
The best thing is the chance to travel and meet interesting people. I love what I do. But I hate all the waiting around, you have to wait everywhere, but I guess it goes with the job.
6. What type of music is on your i-Pod?
I love house. The last time I was in Ibiza I bought the Pacha CD and I listen to it all the time. I like r&b and hip hop as well.
7. Which book are you currently reading?
The last book I read was called “How to Smoke a Cigar”? and it gives you the full history of the cigar. It also tells you all the rules you have to remember when smoking a cigar. It was fascinating.
8. The concert you just have to be at this year is…
I don’t like going to concerts much…
9. How would you define your style?
Really my style changes all the time. At the moment I’m really into that 60s and 70s thing.
